Letoon - Xanthos

XANTHOS, dating back to the 4th century BC The capital city of ancient Lycia, remains  in a remarkable state of preservation. Discovered by Charles  Fellows in 1838.This  is a lovely site to visit.LETOON, see the remains of the temples dedicated to Leto,Artemis and Apollo.

 

At certain times of the year this site is invaded by many Terrapins and Frogs as it is partly submerged under water. İSLAMLAR a superb lunch at  a traditional village in the mountains with  far reaching views over Kalkan and the sea.Finally a visit to the beautiful mountain village of BEZİRGAN before returning to Kalkan
